Brief:

To set up and direct a strategy to deliver this £6 million project for a world class visitor centre, digital archive, peace gardens and memorial all dedicated to the men of Bomber Command and those that were affected by their campaigns.

The project is owned and run by the Lincolnshire Bomber Command Memorial Trust whose Trustees are:

• Tony Worth, Lord Lieutenant of Lincolnshire,
• Lord Taylor of Holbeach CBE,
• Lady Sarah McCorquodale
• Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart Peach KCB CBE FRAeS (Vice Chief of Defence Staff)
• Professor Mary Stuart, Vice Chancellor Lincoln University

Liaison with a wide range of organisations including Governments, institutions, companies, museums, media and individuals across the world is key to the delivery of the project.

Essence is directly responsible for fund raising, events, strategy, staff management, international liaison, management of the construction and exhibition teams, PR and Marketing.

Events have included:

• Attendance at established shows such as the Duxford Air Show, Lincolnshire Show and Royal International Air Tattoo.
• Fund raising dinners with auctions
• Launch events
• Press calls
• Political/media receptions
• Council presentations
• Public consultation events
• National photographic competition

The project is due for completion in September 2015.

Client: Rutland Pride Business Awards for Stamford and Rutland - http://www.stamfordandrutlandbusiness.co.uk

Brief:

This awards scheme is wholly owned by Essence Events and is run in conjunction with media sponsors Pride Magazines.

The awards feature 8 categories and are open to any business in Rutland or within a 25 mile radius of Stamford.

Essence run all promotion and marketing of the programme, sales of sponsorship and tables, all administration of entries and judging and deliver the gala awards dinner at which 220 business representatives from the region are in attendance. The 2014 round saw David Ross, Founder of the Carphone Warehouse, deliver the key note speech and Rob Persani from Rutland Radio compering the event. For 2015 Nev Wilshire of BBC Three’s The Call Centre will be entertaining the audience.

Brief:

The Lord Lieutenants of the Eastern Region hosted a celebration for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee at which Her Majesty was present. The day involved 10,000 invited guests from across the Eastern counties of Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Rutland and Northamptonshire.

The day showcased the best from across the region with musical entertainment on the main stage and a bandstand featuring military bands, youth orchestras, steel bands and more. One of the many highlights was an aerial display incorporating both the Red Arrows and The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

Essence Event Solutions managed the income generation for the entire event including sponsorship, exhibition space, production of a commemorative programme and merchandise sales.

Client: Range Rover East Midlands Launch event

Brief:

Essence were employed to source a venue, liaise with the venue owners, organise site visits by various members of the launch team, supervise the installation, set-up and break down of the event.

Essence were able to use their contacts to secure the use of the exclusive Vanburgh Hall at Grimsthorpe Castle, the use of the Castle Courtyard and the Estate roads. Sixty guests per day for three days were given high end hospitality and off and on-road driving experience.

Client: Garden Organic Food Fair

Brief:

This two day event took place at Garden Organic’s headquarters in Warwickshire, attracting some 3,000 visitors and 52 exhibitors including the four top Organic companies in the UK. A range of activities took place alongside the exhibition including cookery demonstrations, gardening workshops, children’s storytelling, debates and lectures.

The Essence team was responsible for the entire event which resulted in a visitor satisfaction rate of 81% and an exhibitor satisfaction rate of 87%.

Brief:

The CLA Game Fair is the National Countryside Show and as such celebrates the best of rural Britain. The event attracts over 48,000 people each day, 85% of whom belong to the ABC1 demographic. This unique fair moves between three different stately homes in turn and plays host to over 1,000 exhibitors, such as Volvo, Mitsubishi, Allianz, Essence Events were a part of the senior event management team for the Fair for 14 years, covering aspects including Marketing, exhibitor sales, feature development and delivery, sponsorship, hospitality and site planning and building.

Client: The Centenary Conference

Brief:

This conference, held at the QE11 Centre in Westminster, involved 300 delegates, 14 exhibitors and 8 speakers including two Government Ministers and HRH Princess Anne.

Key members of the Essence team were involved in the organisation of the event from concept including venue and catering negotiation, promotion of the event, ticket, exhibition and sponsorship sales, delegate management, speaker liaison, security and delivery.

Client: Environmental Markets seminar

Brief:

Held in the City, this seminar introduced 150 key players from rural businesses, Landowners and senior staff from NGOs to the potential of the environmental markets. This included speakers from across the UK and Europe.

Essence team members set up the event, funded it through sponsorship, managed the invitees and delivered the event on the day.
